We would not recommend this company for repairs. We had a repairmen come out to fix our garage and he told us it needed to be replaced and we got a couple quotes. He then proceeded to tighten some things on the garage door and charged us $99 for something we didn’t ask him to do on a door that needed to be replaced anyway. There was a lack of communication and we were left $99 out of pocket at the end and our garage door was not repaired.

Ms Ruser, Thank you for your feed back as it helps us to improve our customer service and the needs of our customers. There is a service fee charged to all customers when a service is booked as is the standard practice of all, if not the majority of companys. All incoming calls are monitored and recorded for quality and training purposes and if there was a lack of communication on our part I apologize and will have a consultation with the representative to improve how the call was handled. After speaking with the owner I hope you were satisfied with the response. Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions as I have reached out to you a couple of times and have no received a response. Best regards, Bill - Manager Precision Door Service of Denver

Technician was absolutely no help whatsoever. Waste of my time and money.

After my review, Precision responded with an additional visit to check out my garage doors. Bill with Precision, gave a complete and thorough review. I was completely satisfied with the experience.

Estimated price given was double compared to other estimates we were giving for same service. Decided to not use your company due to price too high compared to other companies around town.

Mike, Thank you for calling Precision Garage Service for your repair. Our technician did a 25 pt safety inspection on the door and opener and what he found was a broken spring on a Wayne Dalton door with Torquemaster system. A dealer of that specific system may be able to replace the spring, which is hidden in the torquemaster set up but all other companies will need to do torsion spring conversion. A conversion consists of other working parts, besides the spring only. This will increase costs but also increase the lifetime of the springs and we give a longer warranty. You will find Precision Garage Door Service to be competitive in the market and our you will find our warranty to be one of the best in the industry. Although you chose not to use us on this time we would like for you to consider us for future garage door repairs. Best regards, Bill - Manager PDS Denver

I called Precision Garage Door company because they advertise on their website that they install their lifetime warranted garage door springs. When their employees arrived, they said if I wanted those springs, I would have to have new garage doors and garage door openers installed. Their employees are 5 Star rated employees. They had to install lesser rated springs. At first only warranted for 3 years, then were able to give a 5-year warrantee after talking to the owner. Our garage doors are only 5 years old, and our garage door openers are only 6 months old. Their employees are not responsible for the company's website advertisement.

My door opener has to be sync'd to the remotes while standing on a ladder. I wanted this service. I am too old to climb ladders and so is my wife. One door had a hithch in its operation before service, and there appears to be no change.

WOW, I just got robbed. I've been using this company for about 12 years. Service in the passed was reasonable and good work, no complaints. So just had a spring brake which was covered under the 5 year warranty. James came out and during inspection he found that the center spring being ($69), the garage end bearing set ($199), the end drums ($199), nylon roller wheels ($199), needed replacement. Now knowing any better I agreed to a $600 bill. Curious, I decided to look up all the parts replaced on Amazon, 2 drums ($13), roller wheels set ($13), 2 end bearing plates ($11), and steel bearing for the springs ($8) for a grand total of $45. I feel like a total idiot but I had no idea what the parts cost, the mark up for parts was a complete rip off. Buyer be ware. Never Again.

Gil, Thank you for taking the time to contact me directly regarding your service and letting me know it was your son who left the review. We can all appreciate your son looking out for your best interest but he may not have understood the relationship you developed with our company and the importance of a simple phone call to discuss the service and air his concerns. There seemed to be a communication between yourself and your technician and I am happy you were satisfied with the reconciliation we came too. After speaking with you regarding parts ordered off the internet compared to the parts we use at Precision Door, coming by to show and explain the difference in the quality of parts and how we stand behind our parts, service and warranties, I was glad to hear you express your appreciation and understanding. Please do not hesitate to call us with any future concerns or needs. Best regards, Bill

Google search. My house down south, my husband said I paid too much. I have to agree with him. Next time I will do my homework. I feel that you are now telling what may go wrong. My bad, I will not recommend. Your tech was good. I’m sure he had to up sale.

Carmen, Thank you for taking the time to review the service and work done by your technician. We strive to have 5 star reviews from every customer but realize that is not always the case. We have certified technicians, we install top of the line parts and offer very competitive pricing and the best warranty's in the business. Hopefully your technician took the time to do the 25 point safety inspection and explain what was needed to fix your door properly. The work we did was a complete conversion and overhaul of your door, replacing a Wayne Dalton torquemaster system with a traditional torsion spring system. This will enable any certified garage door company and technician to service and maintain your door in the future. You have all new parts and hardware on the door and hopefully your door runs better than ever. Please feel free to call and discuss any other concerns or problems you may have now or in the future. Best regards, Bill - manager PDS-CO

Stay away. In fact don’t even call them. . The worst rip off service I have ever experienced and will warn others out there never to use you. Should have looked at yelp first to get the real reviews and not the filtered ones on your site. Ultimately I believed the tech and first instinct was run but I got bamboozled and that is on me. Your prices are way too high for the service and your flat out ripping people off. 199 for and end bearing set- that’s () unbelievable, 159 for a drum set I can get online for 30 dollars. -again just a () ripoff. Even looking at the inspection report it is bullshit. It was a very well maintained door that was six years old and the only thing broken was the spring and one cable. Which either could have resulted in the other failing. The shaft didn’t fail, brackets were not failing, drums were not failing rollers were not failing but all were marked as fail. Hundreds of dollars later, an hours worth of work for items that didn’t need to be replaced. Your a scam business and I cannot and will not ever recommend you to anyone. You may have screwed one person over but I will be sure to prevent another hundred the headache.

Not impressed very expensive for a 20min service. Guy who came out took a total of 20minutes to do repair. Hard pressed me on coils replacement when I told him we had them replaced 1year and a half ago. When I handed him your website $15 off coupon he said that it doesn’t apply because that’s for parts when it clearly says $15 off garage door repair.

This was a total rip off. I was in a desperate situation with important morning meetings and, on the positive side, Precision booked me quickly. While booking the appointment, I was very clear to ask 3 times for an estimate. Even just a ball park estimate. My questions were deflected. Zac came out and assessed the situation. The top spring had broken. It was discussed that this 1992 garage door system was aging and that I really needed to replace several items. That surely made sense. What didn't make sense was the incredible over-pricing of the services. $885.00!!!! As we were wrapping up, I asked Zac if the company imposed a surcharge for this being an emergency. I was informed that emergencies were defined as middle of the night or Sunday's. When I got to work, I told my co-workers about it. They were like, "That happened to me last year. It was $169.00 - labor included!" So, I took it upon myself to call Castle Rock Garage Door companies and go through a detailed list of what was replaced. A & A Garage Door Repair said that the total cost for all items done by Precision would be under $400 and adamantly questioned me if I really wanted all of the replacements done. A second company gave me a quote of $169.00 for the actual broken spring. That's a whopping difference! I will be posting complaints with the BBB, Yelp and other online sources.

Don’t use these guys. They come out, overcharge, leave parts and leave your door worse than they found it. My spring was replaced but now the door gaps on the side, occasionally pops, and sometimes refuses to close going up over and over. I emailed and called to complain, nobody cares. I was told the owner would call, he didn’t, I’ve had the problems unresolved since February

I called Precision because my garage door stopped working. I was told that my spring needed to be replaced and it would cost $900! I asked if that was the lowest price he could give me as I've been a loyal customer and he said yes. I told him to go ahead and fix it and then I checked with another garage for repai company who said they would charge $375. I asked the technician and he got angry and said it's not the same spring and charged me $150 for labor when I told him O want going to pay $900. Be warned and die your due diligence or you could be ripped off!

Quick service, same day, tech was pleasant and knowledgeable. Way overpriced!!.. If you're looking for simple spring replacement, they don't offer price based options.. only a fixed way high 180.00 per spring.. Then on top of it they don't apply the absurd 65.00 service call to the work you gave them. They add it on. Then the owner Ben doesn't even reply to responses sent directly to him about the over priced work. I made the mistake trusting the over inflated reviews they fish for to beef up their rating.. I would encourage you strongly to use a more competitively priced company AT HALF the price.. There are tons in Denver, that give actual spring options.. Also beware, techs are trained to find what they can to add on to the work. My tech started pushing rollers, bearings, etc within 5 minutes trying to make me believe everything was shot and that an inspector will slam me when I sell. I have 9 rental houses and flip them yearly.. Never ever have Rollers or Bearings affected a sale.. Beware of this company.. This also could have been a more positive review if the owner cared enough to respond.

After the appointment was booked, the service center asked if the technician could come earlier than the scheduled appointment time. I told them yes and changed plans to accommodate the technician's early arrival; however the technician did not arrive until the end of the originally scheduled appointment window. I told the technician that the door abruptly stopped working when the sensors were bumped while cleaning the garage; the technician said that the problem could be the sensors, but did not investigate further; he looked at the age of the opener and said that the problem with the door was likely a failed mother board because of the opener's age. He said that we needed a new opener, and that Precision did not sell the type of opener that we would need. He did not perform any additional servicing to the garage door that was promised in the original quote for service, but did provide a bill and left with payment. A different company was called. The second company determined that the garage door sensors were damaged and the source of the problem. This company diagnosed the problem, replaced the sensors, and lubricated the rollers and chain for less money than Precision's service charge where they performed no service. The door has been working well for several weeks since being serviced by the second company.

Scott, I would like to follow up regarding your displeasure with the service on November 7, 2016. Upon arriving at the home and speaking with the person there, she said she was the grand mother, a 25 point safety inspection was performed on your door and opener. The symptoms pointed to bad safety sensors or a bad logic board. The opener is Liftmaster from 1994 and has a green button logic board that is no longer manufactured. The rollers are worn and the torsion spring system is completely covered with dry wall making it impossible to see if the correct springs are on the door and if your bearings are in good or bad shape. Explanations were given. The service fee covers the inspection, tighten an lubrication of the door and recommendations to repair. With the age of the opener and the circumstances of the spring system, we recommended replacing the opener as to not simply try and perform a temporary fix. Upon leaving the home a phone call was made to you to explain the situation. Your above reply states another company came out and replaced the sensors on the 20 plus year old opener and did a lubrication on the rollers and opener, all for less than the $65 service fee we charged. That is a very generous amount for parts and service. After speaking with you over the phone, hopefully you understand the situation a little better. We have refunded the service charge. If there are further questions, please call to discuss. Best regards, Bill

My garage door was acting funny for a couple of days and then went off the track. I called Precision Garage Door and they came the next day. He put the door back on track and fixed the cause, the cable had come off the drum. He was there for 1/2 hour and charged $225!!! When I objected vigorously he said they had a flat fee of $160 for off track plus the service call. I wish I called a more honest company.
- Jacquie Reed
Jacquie, Thank you for the feedback regarding the service on your garage door. There is a service fee charge to have a technician come to the house. The technician does a 25 pt safety inspection, looking at both the door and opener to evaluate the problems. Your door was off track. This is when the cables come off the drum and rollers are out of the track. This makes the door sit crooked and releases the tension on the springs. The cause could be a number of things, from a broken spring to the rollers jamming in the track or possibly the door closing on something, perhaps a car, a garbage can or any such objects. It can take a technician 15 minutes to a hour and a half to reset the cables, retention the springs and balance the door - depending on how much damage was done to the door or structure. All of our technicians are experienced, knowledgeable and efficient. They charge off a price list that is industry competitive. We do offer discounts and coupons on our web site to help offset our customers investment in repairs. We offer 24 hour service and trust your door is in satisfiable working condition. Please do not hesitate to contact or office with any questions. Best regards, Bill - Manager Precision Door Service - CO
Parker, CO
Beware this company they will quote one price then when they come out to your house try to charge triple the amount saying you need to place things that are not broken. It took him about 20 minutes to do the repair and my garage door only worked for two days after it was fixed. The technician complained about how far he had to drive to my house and how he was going to charge me more next time.
- Michelle Watson
Michelle, First, let me apologize if our technician came across as unprofessional and we will address your complaint about the poor attitude. Regarding your concern that the tech was trying to overcharge you, let me explain. Our technicians are required to do a 25 point thorough safety inspection on the door and opener. Their job is to let you know the condition of your door and hardware so the technician can repair the door properly. Robert did his safety check, documented the results and concluded that your door has many old and worn out parts. The ultimate decision is yours and after explaining the problems you requested only partial service and repair, which Robert did. If the spring on your door failed then please let us replace it but we can only warranty parts we install and the safety of the door depends on the condition of all parts. Best regards, Bill - Operations Manager

They never showed up for their appointment. A technician called, ask some questions, said he'd consult with his boss and call me back but he never did.
- Tom Duncan
Tom, Our records show our technician did arrive and give you an estimate for repair and or replacement of your garage door. Thank you for your payment. Please give us a call when you are ready to have the work done. Best regards, Bill
The repair man showed up a our house and immediately started complaining the the garage door was old and he didn't work on old doors. He was quite surly about it. The door works and needs some adjustments. That's why I called them. Then they charged us for a service call. I don't need repairmen like that. It was a no star experience.
