I found Precision Garage Door through Better Business Bureau directory to repair broken cables on a Saturday morning. To my surprise and delight they were able to send a technician (Tom Lathrop) on the same day. He arrived on time, assessed the situation and provided me with options. He was able to quickly replace all four pulleys as well as the cables. While he was there, I asked his opinion about the intermittent problems I had with the second garage door opener and the remote pad. He inspected it and showed me faulty circuit board as well as described my options ranging from replacing the circuit board to completely replacing the almost end-of-life opener. He completed the work in a timely manner in spite of the unplanned work on the second door. Tom is very experienced and well informed on all garage door issues and options. He was able to answer all my questions, gave me very professional advice and provided me with options. He never came across as a sales person as he also told me about DIY options. Tom is very professional, honest, and courteous and you can trust his advice. People like him are hard to find these days in most industries involving service. I will gladly recommend him and the Precision Garage Door on any garage door repair or installation.

Eh, could've been better. Tom was early (which worked out better). After going through options of repairing existing opener, I decided to go with a new one. Tom installed the new opener in about an hour (impressive). The next day the arm that drives the door disconnected from the opener. I can only assume that the retaining clip was installed improperly or not at all. I also found ~ half dozen lag screws on my garage floor. So far none of them have showed up in our tires. From reading all the glowing reviews, I was expecting more.

Tom arrived right on time and was very professional. Tom was done in 40 minutes with the repair of a broken spring and also adjusted and greased the garage door. The garage door is more quiet and smooth now than it has ever been.

Our garage door track separated from the wall and we could not open the door to get our cars out. Called and told them the problem. Btravis got here in 15 minutes, reinstalled everything, also put new rollers on. He was gone in 30 minutes and we were both able to get to our appointments on time. Excellent customer service.

Service technitian was very polite and competent. I found it odd that the spring was so expensive but that the service fee was so cheap. I had expected the torsion spring to be much less than what I was charged. Having watched the spring be replaced I think I would do it myslef next time.

I have had two other companies service my garage door components in the past. The first one was an emergency where contractors working on the house jammed the door and burnt out the motor. The second selling me door spring after door spring. Both companies I found had come to loose their BBB ratings. I called Precision, this time, after finding their web site and checking their BBB rating. We had left the cargo door of our MDX open in the garage, the garage door open was hit and the door came down taking the back of the MDX with it. It also jammed the door itself bent all the retaining supports, the safety wire jumped off its track and the door lissted (unable to be closed) at about 30 degrees. Precision sent out a technician named Travis who not only knew his stuff but exhibited technical and inter-personal skill. The nightmare I had envisioned in re-constructing our two door garage was reduced after close to 2 hours to just a minor headache. Door wire - re-attached Bent retaining tracks - straightened several hinges - replaced drive motor to high - needed lower brackets drive speed and pressure re-adjusted I am pleasantly surprised, for a change, that there still seems to be technicians out there that actually care about their trade and reflect that care in their work ethic. I would call for Travis to service any garage problem that may occur in the future. He seems to be a vital employee and I appreciated the way he improved my knowledge level.

They were able to schedule service the next day. I called after 7 p.m. and actually got a live person, so that was wonderful! Tom showed up early and was able to fix our broken spring in no time. He also noticed that our bearings and rollers were in need of replacing. No pressure, just honest information. I was shocked when he was finished and heard just how quiet and smoothly the door worked! When I asked if there was any way he could help out with the price, he even found a coupon for me to use to help offset the cost. I will certainly be returning in the future for any garage door servicing needs!

I picked your company mainly because your reviews were good and didn't feel like I needed to shop around a lot. I didn't get any other quotes so I can't compare pricing but the service was great. Service man was on time and when he called to let me know what needed to be done to get it fixed he let me know my options and the pricing of each. When I didn't pick the most expensive he didn't pressure me into anything. This was a rental of mine so it was nice to have someone that could get things done right away and be on time. Hopefully I don't need to call you out anytime soon but will when I need to.
