The work was performed professionally and met my expectations. What was not well received was the unnecessary push for additional services and unneeded equipment. My wife handled the service call and she was pushed to replace both springs instead of the single spring that broke. On top of that the service representative tried to convince her to replace the rollers on my garage door. My house is only 4 years old, I am surprised that this additional work and equipment was sold and positioned. I felt taken advantage of.

Our technicians are trained to do a 25 point safety inspection and give recommendations to repair your door. If you had a spring break after only 4 years then you either use the door far more frequently than the average or the springs were sub standard quality. Springs are typically installed in pairs and the life expectancy of each will be about the same. The springs should last minimum 8-10 years if all other parts are in good condition. We recommend the springs being changed together and our rollers are commercial grade neoprene with 13 steel bearings, steel stems and allow the door to run smooth and quiet. The service that I had was the Amazon $99.00 special. Rollers were replaced with nylon ones, springs were adjusted for proper tension and all other pivot joints were lubricated. The door now sounds like new. Robert did an excellent job and was very pleasant while on site. My only disappointment was that the special did not include greasing the internal plastic gears inside my door opener. However, I am a happy customer and will recommend Precision Door Service to my friends and neighbors. Thank you!

Unfortunately I don't recall the gentleman's name who came but he called to see if he could come earlier than anticipated - which meant I didn't have to stay home all day and could get to other errands. I had Precision replace a broken spring about 4 years ago and was completely satisfied with the same day response and service provided. Recently the door had gotten out of adjustment to the point where a cable had come off the pulley with my vehicle stuck in the garage. It is a heavy insulated door and no way I could open it. I called Precision and Bill responded that morning sooner than expected. He fully explained the problem and the work he was performing, and had it working like new in a short time. As previously, it is obvious these folks know their business. Precision provides great service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I went into this service call expecting the worst - that I'd need an entire new garage door. To my delight, rather than high pressure to buy something I didn't really need, Rick explained the problem and how much (little) it would actually cost to make the repairs. Precision was the only garage door repair company I could get a hold of on a Sunday during Labor Day weekend. The service tech, Robert, got to my home quickly and advised me of all of the options I had not once trying to "sell" me on getting expensive repairs or replacements. He even told me about low cost alternatives that I could easily do myself if I wanted to avoid the expense of costly repairs/replacements. Robert fixed my broken springs, changed my old rollers, and fixed the previous installers horrible install work that compromised my entire garage door system. Precision did a great job for a fair price when I needed it.

I have had two other companies service my garage door components in the past. The first one was an emergency where contractors working on the house jammed the door and burnt out the motor. The second selling me door spring after door spring. Both companies I found had come to loose their BBB ratings. I called Precision, this time, after finding their web site and checking their BBB rating. We had left the cargo door of our MDX open in the garage, the garage door open was hit and the door came down taking the back of the MDX with it. It also jammed the door itself bent all the retaining supports, the safety wire jumped off its track and the door lissted (unable to be closed) at about 30 degrees. Precision sent out a technician named Travis who not only knew his stuff but exhibited technical and inter-personal skill. The nightmare I had envisioned in re-constructing our two door garage was reduced after close to 2 hours to just a minor headache. Door wire - re-attached Bent retaining tracks - straightened several hinges - replaced drive motor to high - needed lower brackets drive speed and pressure re-adjusted I am pleasantly surprised, for a change, that there still seems to be technicians out there that actually care about their trade and reflect that care in their work ethic. I would call for Travis to service any garage problem that may occur in the future. He seems to be a vital employee and I appreciated the way he improved my knowledge level.
