I have used Precision Door service for several years. Their response is always quick, even on weekends or holidays when garage door springs always seem to break. We have been lucky to have Zac, the technician, respond each time. He is courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The last time I called, it was because the garage door would not go down. Zac arrived the next day and immediately saw the problem and fixed it within minutes. As a previous customer there was no charge for the simple fix that he performed. They will always have our business. The next garage door will be from Precision Door Service.

My repairman was knowledgeable, however he neglected to tell me he dug out part of the drywall to replace a couple bolts which he also didn’t mention it needed. I had a broken spring and also changed out the rollers, cables since it was recommended totaling around $1450. After having Efficiency Garage Doors come out to program opener to my new vehicle…found out I could have had all that done for around $1000. he also adjusted the springs so my door would go up further. From now on I’ll stick with Efficiency Garage Doors and pay weekend rate if I have any issues over the weekend. I’ve been using Efficiency Garage Doors for almost 20 yrs.
Pam, Thank you for taking the time to respond to the request for a review. We appreciate the feed back and wished you would have taken the time to go over all that when our operations manager was out this past Saturday to review the drywall issue. We did explain that when your technician was out in November that the garage was drywalled over the track hinges making it impossible to get to with out cutting around the bracket. Our apologies that the original technician did not cut a clean opening around the track brackets as the drywall is quite a bit water damaged all along the edges and the drywall did crumble as I was trimming it. Hopefully you are ok with the clean up of the edges. As far as a competitor showing up after work is completed and telling you that they "would of or could have" done the work "cheaper", well we can not vouch for what another company "would have done" after the fact. We stand behind the work done by our technicians and the quality of parts we use and I wish you would have contacted us to look over the original repair before having another company come out to do repairs and void your warranty with us. Called the evening before when the cable lifting the garage snapped. They came out the next day and got everything fixed. Zac was professional and did an excellent job.! Doors work great and run much quieter. Used Precision on our last place and will be using them again when something old breaks.

What a great company! We had two garage door remotes that were not opening our LiftMaster garage door. James came and performed an inspection of our door and unit, tightened all the bolts and programmed both of the remotes. The price was so reasonable! James was friendly, extremely professional and explained everything well. We will definitely use Precision again and refer them to our friends!

I contacted Precision at 6:00 a.m., someone immediately responded, and they had a tech out to my house by 10:30 a.m. the same day. Nick was very professional and fixed my problem in a way that I felt comfortable about. And what he ultimately charged me was lower than what he estimated because, during the work, he realized a part that he'd thought might need to be replaced was fine.

I have a very old (65+ years) and very heavy garage door for which I contacted Precision for a garage door tune-up. First-off, I was pleasantly surprised at their schedule availability. Then, the technician, Zac, was great! He was very professional and thorough both with the garage door tune-up/inspection and taking me through what he did and any recommendations he had. He was very transparent and honest about what the garage door might need to improve safety (nothing immediately, fortunately) as well as what indicators to look for that might mean specific parts are wearing out. Great value for the money. I'll definitely call Precision again for anything related to my garage door.

I called Precision a while back and my problem was so small that the person who came fixed it in a minute or two and didn't charge me. I was so impressed that I called again and this time a young man who was very pleasant came early in the time that I expected him. It was an easy fix but he checked my garage opener and fixed some things I didn't know were a problem and told me my garage door was in good shape. He didn't say it wouldn't break later but said it was as good as it could be. I was very impressed.

Overly Priced. Aggressive Sales Tactics. Steep Assessment Fee. While the fee to assess was disclosed, when in the dire situation of being stuck in their garage it makes sense to agree to pay for someone to c rescue them. And we did so under the belief we could trust moving forward with the company. However, from the moment the technician first saw the garage he presented us with a dramatically doomsday and dangerous situation, and would not even work with us to get the car out without us choosing a paid route. AND, the base price was two times the amounts quoted by other companies through online project quotes. When I shared that with the technician I was presented with an attitude to the point that I told him that he did not have to be an A-Hole and that we would pay his fee just to get him to leave and we would get a second opinion. And we did get a second opinion. The other company came out, within two hours, from Boulder, and did not charge us a fee to assess and basically said the cable snap just broke. Two hours later we had new springs and cables and a working garage with a three year warranty and in total, including the original fee we paid your technician, we paid LESS than half of what was quoted by this company. Perhaps it would not be necessary to charge an assessment fee if the staff were not overly aggressive and the prices were reasonable.

We take all reviews, both positive and negative, into consideration when evaluating both our technicians service and work and the customers' wants and needs. As with every customer you were quoted and charged the service fee which includes a 25 pt safety inspection, evaluation of both the door and opener and recommendations of a temporary band aid fix, a safe and reliable fix and a Long term solution. If you choose to have the work done we do not charge labor fees as the service fee includes the hour of labor. All of our technicians are professionally trained, and we take pride in the work they perform. The safety inspection showed cracked panels, broken cables, worn bearings and old metal rollers that are leaking lubrication and all were causing friction during the operation of the door and opener. As the technician was doing the evaluation and attempting to explain the issues and you were contacting other companies while he was in the garage seems to have increased the frustration with both yourself and your technician. Our job is to evaluate and make recommendations, fix your garage door and make it safe for use. You have every right to seek other opinions and options for repair. We obviously are not the right company for your needs and hopefully the contracted company that did your work also informed you of the existing issues and options.
