I checked the BBB and found that Precision was rated very high. A bonus was that they could send a technician out the same day to repair my garage door. The tech, Dale, was on time and explained clearly what was causing the shaking, the shuddering, and the noise, and he didn't let the age of the door put him off. He told me how it could be fixed, I agreed with his recommendations, and he fixed the door on the spot. It operates quietly and smoothly, and I am very pleased with the outcome. Another bonus, Dale was very personable.

I appreciate the courtesy and quick service of Precision. My appointment was scheduled between 4-6 pm (the same day I requested service), and I received a phone call around 2:00pm to let me know they were short staffed, but this tech (Bill) was about 15 minutes away. He was wondering if he could come by early. I, of course, was happy to have him come out sooner. He was polite, informative and had my mom's garage door working again in no time. I was searching the internet for the best deals (because my mom is on limited income) and Precision was by far the best! Thank you, we will definitely turn to Precision for any future garage door issues.

I chose Precision based on their offering of a tune-up deal and roller replacement through the AAA Auto Club. The Technician (Robert) performed the operation and also suggested a roller upgrade for longer life and some component replacements that were required. The end result is a beautifully operating door that I am confident will last a long time. Robert explained a lot of things to me about garage doors that I had not known. It really provided me with some things to keep an eye on.

My garage door was acting funny for a couple of days and then went off the track. I called Precision Garage Door and they came the next day. He put the door back on track and fixed the cause, the cable had come off the drum. He was there for 1/2 hour and charged $225!!! When I objected vigorously he said they had a flat fee of $160 for off track plus the service call. I wish I called a more honest company.
Jacquie, Thank you for the feedback regarding the service on your garage door. There is a service fee charge to have a technician come to the house. The technician does a 25 pt safety inspection, looking at both the door and opener to evaluate the problems. Your door was off track. This is when the cables come off the drum and rollers are out of the track. This makes the door sit crooked and releases the tension on the springs. The cause could be a number of things, from a broken spring to the rollers jamming in the track or possibly the door closing on something, perhaps a car, a garbage can or any such objects. It can take a technician 15 minutes to a hour and a half to reset the cables, retention the springs and balance the door - depending on how much damage was done to the door or structure. All of our technicians are experienced, knowledgeable and efficient. They charge off a price list that is industry competitive. We do offer discounts and coupons on our web site to help offset our customers investment in repairs. We offer 24 hour service and trust your door is in satisfiable working condition. My garage door is nearing 20 years and needed basic maintenance. The service technician called (within the service window) to let me know he was on his way, when he expected to arrive and to suggest a vehicle not be in the garage. He completed all the work quickly and best of all explained how to open the garage if the pulley broke.
