Precision Garage Door has always been dedicated to bringing you REAL, fair and honest reviews. We receive reviews from our customers through many different mediums. To make our reviews more transparent, we have decided to reveal how exactly these reviews get here.

Types of Reviews


This review was a "Report Card Submission". We ask our customers to fill out a "report card", like the one pictured below, at the completion of every job. The star rating is an average of how the technician performed in knowledge, promptness, courtesy, ability to finish the job quickly and in one visit, clean up of the job site and overall quality of the finished work. To add transparency to our business we make these public on our website.


At the completion of every job we ask our customers to review our business on our website. Their comments are reviewed manually for inappropriate language and then posted to the website unedited.

This review was a "Telephone Submission". Often after work is completed we conduct a telephone survey to ensure complete satisfaction with the work we did. With permission, Comments from these calls are transcribed and displayed on our website.

This review was an "E-mail Submission". Sometimes our customers send us emails to let us know more about how we performed. With their permission these are posted to the site.

This review was a "Postal Mail Submission". Our customers send us letters through traditional postal mail reviewing our performance. When they do, we transcribe it and place it on our website.

First, Precision answered the phone... unlike many of the other companies who just send you to voicemail. Second, they came out the next day. They communicated well and were on time. They put in a nice, new door for less than the price quoted by my insurance adjuster, and they did it fast.

My garage door opener failed after 16 faithful years. Tom came the next day after my call. He replaced the opener and the rollers, also worn out, and at my request installed a key-pad opener. Super service for mechanisms so needed but seldom thought about.

Precision Door Service has rescued me from garage door malfunctions twice this year, and both times the experience was painless, prompt, and reasonable in cost. Both times the technician was polite, neat, and conscious of my pocketbook. The first time, Tom reseated my garage door tracks, and the second time he replaced a bad capacitor on my opener. I was very happy with the prompt service. But I was disappointed that when I asked if he could help me get my car opener button (home link) to respond to the new opener, I was told that he couldn't help me.
When you are over 65 years old and not computer literate, that is not a easy task. It would not have taken too long to help.

Precision is great! We originally purchased our opener from them years ago and they were there when we needed them now.2 weeks ago I had to have my door spring replaced at 8:00pm on a week night! Tom was our service tech and he was friendly, professional and thorough. He explained everything to me and what the charges would be before any work was done.
Then this past weekend my opener had to be replaced! Yikes! Again, Tom was our guy and everything was done to my total satisfaction.Truly 5 stars in my book.

I was in a scary situation as the door had locked in the open position leaving me somewhat unprotected from animals and other intruders. You gave me a same-day appointment and met it as agreed.

My garage door opener quit working with two of three cars locked inside. On July 2. Precision took my call over the holiday weekend, and after discussing price, I elected to wait until the following Tuesday, though the holiday upcharge was quite reasonable. The technician arrived at 8am and my vehicles were free by 10. I am confident that I paid for only what was needed, when it would have been easy to sell me more stuff. I hope I don't need garage door service again for a long time, but if I do, I'll be calling Precision.

Our garage door would not open unless you held down the control button. We had one company out that gave us what I thought was an outrageous quote, not to mention that the repairman seemed like a snake oil salesman. I then called Precision and spoke to Bill over the phone. His straightforward nature sold me on their services. The next day, a technician and trainee came out repair our garage door. They also fixed various other problems that were the result of shoddy builder installation. I believe that they were fair and honest in getting our garage door and opener in the best possible working condition. During each step, I was consulted and the problem and cost to repair were explained. I'd definitely use Precision again!
